Limited (hereafter referred to as “funky lifestyles”), a limited
liability company registered in the United Kingdom. Our registered office
is 16 Mulberry Close, The Grange, Desborough, Northants, NN14 2JQ, England,
which is not a showroom and is not open to the public.
As you browse around our site you will see “add to cart”
buttons which enable you to add products to your shopping cart.
Feel free to use this as a virtual shopping list, as you can
just as easily remove them at any time, and adjust quantities
up or down too. Please note that you will lose the contents
of your shopping cart when you leave the site, if you have not
completed your purchase beforehand.
You can view the contents of your cart at any time using the “Cart”
option on the menu at the foot of the site. To place your order, click the
“Checkout” button at the foot of the shopping cart page, at which
point we will ask you for some address details and take your card payment
online. You can alternatively click on the "Mail Order" link instead
and send us a cheque along with a printout of your order using your browser's
print option to print the page you are presented with.
"Delivered" prices are quoted for UK Mainland deliveries - see
the section below on 'delivering your order'
for further information on this. We reserve the right to adjust prices up
or down from time to time, withour prior notice.
Please note that any levies/taxes charged for international deliveries are
not calculated or monitored by funky lifestyles and are therefore not the
responsibility of funky lifestyles. We recommend that customers requiring
delivery outside of the UK should check with their local customs officials
or post office for more information. Funky Lifestyles Limited is not VAT Registered.
We have used best endeavours to make our images as representative of the
product as possible. Please note however that lighting can affect the percieved
colours of images in photographs and that colours can be displayed differently
from one computer monitor to another, and so the colours of products seen
on the web site may therefore vary from the actual product.
Larger items of furniture such as cabinets, beds, wardrobes, shelving and
desk systems may require some assembly on your part.
We accept credit or debit card payments with cards including Visa, Mastercard,
American Express, Maestro, Electron, Swich and Solo. You can even use a PayPal
online account to pay for goods – especially handy if you are active
on eBay!
We can also accept orders by mail, using the printable mail order form, which
you should complete in full and send together with a cheque made payable to
“funky lifestyles ltd.” to our office address listed above. You
should write your card number and expiry date on the reverse of the cheque,
and please note that we cannot begin to process your order until the funds
are cleared through our bank.
By purchasing from us, you confirm that the credit, debit or store card that
is being used is yours and understand that all credit/debit cardholders are
subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the
issuer of your payment card refuses to or does not, for any reason, authorise
payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery. All goods
remain the property of funky lifestyles until paid for in full. In order to
guard ourselves and our customers from fraud we deliver to the card holders
adress, which is assumed to be the one you give at the beginning of the order
process as the customer's address.
Your confidential information is protected in transit from your computer
during checkout using the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol with an encryption
key length of 128 bits - the highest commercially available.
We use the services
of third party company “Paypal” to perform the actual card payment transaction
and only Paypal and the acquiring bank shall have access to your card details during the online checkout process - we do not store any financial information you provide. . In the event that you pay for your order via telephone to us, your card details will be entered directly into the 'Virtual Terminal' for payment processing and, again, your details will not be stored by ourselves.

Delivered prices published on the site and quoted to you at the time of ordering
are for specifically for delivery within the mainland United Kingdom, which
you acknowledge by accepting these terms. Please contact us to enquire about
the cost of delivery outside the UK, to the nether regions of Scotland, Ireland,
the Channel Islands or other destinations not included in mainland United
Kingdom prior to placing your order, and we will be happy to quote! Understandably, we are unable to alter the delivery address once the delivery process is under way.
We endeavour to ship received orders of smaller items within one working week
where the good(s) are in stock, though you should allow up to 28 days for
delivery of your order. Some items however, where the customer specifies a
particular fabric or finish, or where the goods are manufactured to order,
can take a number of weeks to be manufactured and subsequently shipped (a
“bespoke order”). On receipt of an order, funky lifestyles will
advise the customer on a more accurate timescale, where appropriate. Please
refer to the information provided with the products on our web site for a
guide to which items consistute a “bespoke order”.
Delivery shall take place via a carrier appointed by
funky lifestyles and shall be a weekday delivery to your doorstep. The driver
is neither obliged or insured to enter your promises, but may do so at their
discretion if invited to do so by yourself. If you have ordered heavier
or bulkier items please make suitable arrangements for assistance in transporting
the goods through necessary doors, corridors or stairways and that larger
items will fit through such pathways. Where the item(s) are especially bulky
and/or heavy we will arrange delivery via a specialist carrier and will arrange
with you a convenient delivery date. This will be stated in the product description
where relevant. If you are not present to accept a delivery arranged on an
agreed date via our specialist carrier service, you may be liable for redelivery
charges. Similarly, in the unlikely event that you are repeatedly unable to accept delivery of your order, and it is subsequently returned to us by our carrier, this will incur a recoverable delivery charge, should you subsequently require the delivery rearranging, or choose to cancel your order with us.
Our deliveries require a signature. For smaller packages, if you are
unavailable to accept the delivery, the carrier will leave a card detailing
instructions on how to rearrange the delivery. Please note that you should
document any transit damage at the time of receipt on the delivery note. Please
also see our Returns Policy regarding faulty or damaged
goods.
To be eligible to purchase goods on this web site and lawfully
enter into and form contracts on this website under English
law you must be over 18 years of age, provide your real name,
phone number, e-mail address, payment details and other requested
information, and stipulate a delivery address in the mainland

On receipt of payment and thereby acceptance of your order,
we will send an order confirmation to you by email to the address
you supply during the ordering process.
Order acceptance and the completion of the contract between
you and us will take place on the despatch to you of the Products
ordered unless we have notified you that we do not accept your
order or you have cancelled it in accordance with the instructions
set out in these Terms & Conditions.
In the event that the goods you order are no longer available,
we will offer you the choice of an alternative product, credit
to the value of the goods or refund to the value of the goods.
While we endeavour to deliver to the majority of the United Kingdom, we reserve
the right to refuse your order in the event of heavier or bulkier items, should
our carrier not be able to deliver to your location.
We hope that you will be happy with your purchase from
us. In the event that the goods you order from funky lifestyles are
faulty or damaged, you shall have three days from receipt of the goods in
which to notify us in order to obtain a returns note number and follow our
returns procedure as described below. As detailed in the delivery
paragraph above, any transit damage should be noted at the time of receipt.
Items must be returned to us within 14 days - we cannot accept returns of
any items after this period.
If you wish to return goods to us, you should first contact us requesting
a “Returns Authorisation Number” via emailing us via returns@funkylifestyles.com,
by writing to us at the office address listed above or by telephoning us,
within seven days of receipt of the goods. If we agree to accept the goods
back, you will be issued a Returns Authorisation Number which must be returned
together with the goods. Your right to return goods
does not include “bespoke orders” which have been made to your
specification or to order, unless they are faulty.
Goods returned to us should be fit for resale, in original unused, unassembled
and undamaged condition, and should be returned in their original, undamaged
packaging. Self assembly items cannot be returned once assembly has begun.
Your statutory rights as a consumer remain unaffected. We reserve the right
to withhold a percentage of the refund value of returned goods if the product
or packaging is in such a condition that the item needs to be reduced in price
for resale. A non-refundable cancellation charge and restocking fee of up
to 30% of the original cost may be applied to returned items unless they are
faulty. The buyer assumes the cost of returning goods to funky lifestyles,
unless otherwise agreed. In the case of products classifying
for Specialist Item Delivery where the delivery and assembly service is included
in the cost of the items, we are not able to refund the delivery & assembly
cost, which we will have already incurred delivering the products to you.
We comply fully with the Consumer Protection Regulations
2000 (“Distance Selling Act”)

personally deal with your complaint and you will be kept informed

with the Data Protection Act 1998 and applicable consumer legislation
from time to time in place.
